20-06 Aluminum Counter Stool - Hand Brushed
The world famous English Architect, Sir Norman Foster, wanted a more
"anonymous" version of the Navy chair for an indoor/outdoor cafe in
2006. Emeco met his request. The chairs constructed for him have solid
bars of aluminum at the bend in each leg, the result of which were a
long-term and durable structure that can hold up to 1,000 lb and yet
weigh a mere 7 pounds.
Emeco was founded in 1944 to make chairs for submarines in WWII.
The 77-step process continues to this day, producing chairs that are
elegantly designed and environmentally friendly. Each chair is
constructed from 80% recycled content and is 100% recyclable. Emeco
employs a proprietary heat treatment that results in aluminum chairs
that are tougher than steel. The restaurant industry is fast-paced and
