Our Silverlake chair is made of Sonokeling with a stainless steel or iron frame. Sonokeling, also known as Indian Rosewood, is a very dense hardwood with rich color veins ranging from chocolate to espresso to shades of deep purple. When aged, the wood deepens to a more uniform overall color. However, with young Sonokeling, the pale white sapwood contrasts dramatically against the dark tones of the heartwood.
